Family Card Games ("the app", "we", "us") is a card‑game app for playing Blackbird, Euchre, Spades, and Hearts — solo against bots or online with friends and family. This policy explains exactly what we store, why, and your choices. In short: we never sell your information, and we only store what's needed to keep your account and settings the way you set them.
Information we store
We store only the information needed to provide the game and keep your account working:
- Account identity — if you sign in with Google, your Google display name and email (used only to identify your account); if you play as a guest, just the name you choose.
- Display nickname — an optional name other players see.
- Friends & blocks — your friends list and anyone you've blocked.
- Family group & supervision settings — your family group membership and, for supervised accounts, the supervision settings the managing member has chosen.
- Game & personalization settings — your saved preferences and account settings, so the app stays the way you set it up.
We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or browsing activity.
We never sell your information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Your data is used solely to run the game features you use. There are no ads and no third‑party advertising trackers in the app.
How your information is stored & secured
Your account information is stored on our own secured server. Connections between the app and our server are encrypted in transit (HTTPS / secure WebSockets). Access to stored data is restricted to the operators of the service. We keep your information only for as long as your account exists.
Chat & voice
Text and voice chat happen in real time during a game and are not recorded or stored on our servers. Blocking a player prevents you and that player from seeing or hearing each other.
Supervised accounts & supervision settings
A family member can add another member to their family group as a managed, supervised account. The managing member controls that account's chat, voice, who they can see, friend requests, table invites, and which tables are visible. A supervised account always stays in its managing member's family group. To delete a supervised account, the managing member signs in and selects it (see below).
Deleting your account & data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- If you can sign in with Google, deletion is immediate and automatic.
- If you can't sign in, you can submit a request that a moderator reviews manually (within 72 hours).
